Servicing & compliance

PLANNED SERVICING
AND LOLER, DONE
PROPERLY

Scheduled maintenance and statutory thorough examinations for platform lifts, stairlifts, through-floor lifts and hoists. The work that stops the breakdown callout happening in the first place.

IS THIS YOU?

Your LOLER examination is due or overdue

Any lift carrying people needs a thorough examination every six months. Missing one puts you outside the law and usually invalidates your insurance.

The lift has never been on a schedule

Plenty of lifts only get looked at when they fail. That is the most expensive way to own one. A first service tells you honestly what condition it is in.

You've inherited a building with lifts in it

New managing agent, new owner, new facilities role. We survey what's there, tell you what's been missed, and put it on a proper schedule.

The current servicer isn't doing the full job

If visits are short, reports are thin, or the same fault keeps coming back, get a second opinion. We will audit the lift and tell you what we find.

WHAT'S COVERED

Planned preventative maintenance visits
LOLER thorough examination and statutory report
Safety gear, governor and brake verification
Emergency lowering system checks
Drive, rail and carriage inspection and lubrication
Door operator and safety edge checks
Battery testing and replacement on DC units
Written report with anything found and what it means
Multi-site schedules for estates and portfolios

How often does a lift need servicing?

Under LOLER, a lift carrying people needs a thorough examination every six months, and every twelve months for goods-only lifts. Service intervals depend on usage and environment as much as regulation: a lift in a busy care home earns more attention than one in a quiet private home. We will tell you what yours actually needs rather than selling you the maximum.

How is servicing priced?

Per visit for a single lift, or as a scheduled contract where there are several. Contract pricing depends on the number of lifts, the makes and how far apart the sites are. You get the number before we start, and anything found on a visit gets quoted separately rather than added to an invoice.

MAKES WE COVER
